5 Facts you didn’t know about our superhero Glory

Sometimes, last minute thing isn’t a bad thing.. In fact, if we didn’t really push for it and insist on making it happen, we probably wouldn’t have contacted Omar Kabbani ( Omar is one of the twins behind Ashekman and founders of multidisciplinary creative studio T.Durden Studio) and asked him to design Glory, the superhero and main character behind our collection No Guts, No Glory.

We wanted a superhero that was a mix of your everyday real life woman x some Mukhi Sisters x superhero features.

Glory is the main character of our superhero collection Ch. X: No Guts, No Glory and she’s here to remind people that true power comes from within.

Today, we’ll be sharing with you the sketches we worked on before seeing Glory come to life and why we ended up choosing her.

So here we go, we’re going to break it down for you and share a couple of hidden symbols we added to Glory, let’s call this, few things you didn’t know about Glory:

-Glory has a blazer shaped cape.

-We used the symbol on her face as a reference to our Indian origins.

– Glory had a tattoo, in roman numeral, at first, similar to our sisterhood tattoos (we shared it below too!) we added it to her body chain instead. It says X as Mukhi Sisters’ tenth collection.

– Glory was wearing sneakers at the beginning and we replaced them with heels.

-Glory is wearing some of the stars of our collection: her emerald coin necklace, body piece and banklet ( it’s the anklet in the shape of a bangle) and she’s stacking her gold bangles just like the three of us.

It was a pleasure working with Omar and T.Durden team and we look forward to more collaborations with them in the future. ( Check them out here www.tdurden.com) and to view the full collection please click here:
